BALINALE – BALI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL



The Bali International Film Festival, also known as Balinale, now in it’s 16th year, once again brought together acclaimed filmmakers and industry professionals from the film, entertainment, and creative sectors to celebrate cinema for four days beginning on June 1st. This year’s festival showcased 43 films from 13 countries.

The esteemed jury panel including Michela Scolari (Producer, Writer, Director from Italy), Richard Todd (Documentary Filmmaker from Australia), Djenar Maesa Ayu (Author, Producer, Director from Indonesia), and Jomon (Joe) Thomas (Producer from India) was joined by Jason Allan Neal, General Manager of Original Content and Innovation for Fremantle Indonesia.

“The festival was an outstanding event which treated myself and the other amazing attendees to some fantastic films from all around the world”, Jason said. “I was honoured to present the Gary L. Hayes award for the feature “The Tone Wheels”, he added.

These films stood out for their exceptional storytelling and creative execution, deserving recognition and applause.
